In a Land where Cats are Warriors!

When I was a young girl, I opened a new book and started reading the most amazing adventure I had ever read! Good Wizards, Evil Wizards, Little People from an unknown land. Fairies, Heroes, Dragons and a Magic Ring! The book was written by J.R.R. Tolkien and was titled The Fellowship of the Ring! As soon as I finished this book, I moved right into The Two Towers. Still not satiated, I read on with Return of the King. When I closed the cover of this last book, there was sadness that it all ended too soon. Yet I felt privileged that I had embarked upon this incredible journey into Fantasy, Love, Hate, War and Good vs. Evil.

(The Tolkien Trilogy: Lord of the Rings)

As an adult, I have run into a series of books that remind me of those years so long ago and have started a new sojourn into the world of Cats that live in Clans! They are the invention of Erin Hunter and the books are The Warrior Cats!

I am far from being a child of 12 +! Yet, when I closed the covers of Into The Wild, I just knew I had to continue this incredible ride of Fantasy, Love, Hate, War and Good vs. Evil. The characters are so three dimensional, solid and endearing! Cats with names like Firepaw, Graypaw, Ravenpaw, Bluestar and Tigerpaw! Cats of different Clans - ThunderClan, ShadowClan, RiverClan and WindClan. How wonderful is that! And far beyond them is StarClan, the all knowing, all caring, wisdom of Cats! It's the place where all cats move onto some day!

These books also remind me of the wonderful sojourn I was sent on that was created by Richard Adams "Watership Down".

These authors - Oh Yes, there are actually Four of Them! Have woven a magical blend of one's beliefs in Life, Death, Loyalties and Values. Having cats in their lives, they have touched upon the Age Old Question we cat owners have asked many times about our furry little friends - What are they thinking about? As has been said by others: "You might just look at your little tabby in a whole new light."

I can't wait to start the next book in line Fire & Ice. I recommend to anyone, (whether you are 12, 20 or 90!) To pick up the first book in this wonderful series Into The Wild and Read it! You will enjoy every page-turning moment! Then, will addictively, chase after the next Magical Ride! (I suggest the first book, because everything follows in suit one book at a time!)

The name Erin Hunter belongs in the same Elite Hall of Fame as J.R.R. Tolkien Richard Adams, and J.K. Rowling!

Victoria grew up on a farm in England, where she learned to ride at the age of two. She enjoyed reading and writing stories of her own when she had the time. She studied English at Oxford University, where the ancient buildings and sense of tradition inspired an interest in history.
